Internet Friends?

Internet Friends?

So, recently, on social media sites, I've been noticing a pattern when you have problems.

Me: *clearly has some kind of problem* *is upset*

Real Friends: *don't care*

Internet Friends: *care and will literally talk to you 'til one in the morning because they legit care about you.*

Me: *has another problem*

Real Friends: *don't care*

Internet Friends: *care so much they literally threaten to hack your account and post nice things about you if you won't cheer up*

Me: *has yet another problem*

Real Friends: *don't care*

Internet Friends: *hack into account and post many nice and incredible things about me*

Like, I have a question- why is it not socially acceptable to socialize with people on a SOCIAL MEDIA site? I mean it's a SOCIAL MEDIA site. SOCIAL. I mean, nooooo- we have to toooouuuuuchhhh them and seeeeeeee them to talk to them.

I actually have my handful of internet friends. One of my closest ones is named Taye, and she's super awesome, makes me feel better, and calls me weird names and is just amazing in general. She's hilarious. Dramatic, but hilarious. I don't know what I would do without her. I also have a friend Brianna too and she's a huge Dan and Phil fan and we're all best friends. They help me through so much and I want to meet them and give them huge hugs telling them how much they mean to me.

Can we, like, just ignore the fact that we can't PHYSICALLY talk to them or hear them? I mean, we teenagers have very good senses, and can tell when someone is being fake. Like- people might think that about you as well, you know?

Like, can we just all get along? This is a social media site, and we're supposed to be social. If you have friends on it, that's what makes it fun. NOW GO OUT THERE AND MAKE SOME FRIENDS.
